Welcome to my website!
I am a researcher at the University of Lisbon and the author of the book MyNews Explica: Congresso Brasileiro (Almedina Brasil). I write analyses on legislative modernization for ModParl, a newsletter published by the POPVOX Foundation, as an independent contributor. I also write my own newsletter, where I explore how we can better understand and reimagine politics.
I hold a Ph.D. in Political Science from Syracuse University and an M.A. in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Brazilian Policy Agendas Project at the University of São Paulo, a Visiting Fellow at the SNF Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University, and a Senior Researcher at the Center for Studies on the Brazilian Congress at the State University of Rio de Janeiro. I also worked as a legislative assistant at the U.S. House of Representatives as a 2021-2022 APSA Congressional Fellow. You can find me on Bluesky, X, and Instagram.
